How does the LSSBB (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) compare to CSSBB?

The LSSBB (GAQM Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) and CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ) both certify mastery of the full DMAIC cycle, advanced statistics, Design of Experiments, and large-scale project leadership. The GAQM LSSBB is fully online, recognised in 150+ countries, and is the preferred choice for professionals in GCC and MENA due to its cost-effectiveness and broad employer acceptance in the region. The ASQ CSSBB requires documented project evidence and is more common in North American manufacturing contexts. Both are respected globally.

What is the cost of the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification?

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) certification through Mentor Tech is priced at $300 USD. This covers 40–50 hours of advanced curriculum spanning 10 modules, the GAQM online exam (150 questions, 180 minutes, 75% passing score), and lifetime certification validity. LSSBB-certified professionals in GCC earn an average of $110,000 USD annually — a 25–40% uplift over non-certified peers.

What is the difference between Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt?

A Green Belt (LSSGB) leads improvement projects as a secondary responsibility, typically spending 25–50% of their time on process improvement. A Black Belt (LSSBB) is a dedicated full-time process improvement leader who manages multiple projects, mentors Green and Yellow Belts, applies advanced statistics (DOE, regression, hypothesis testing), and drives strategic-level transformation. The Black Belt is the highest practitioner-level GAQM Lean Six Sigma credential, above which is the Master Black Belt.

Is GAQM Lean Six Sigma Black Belt recognized internationally?

Yes. The GAQM LSSBB is recognised in 150+ countries and accepted across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, financial services, and government sectors. Employers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, and internationally value the LSSBB credential for senior process improvement and quality leadership roles. Mentor Tech is an official GAQM-authorized training provider and accredited channel partner.

What is LSSBB certification?

LSSBB (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) is the advanced-level GAQM Lean Six Sigma certification. It qualifies professionals to lead complex DMAIC improvement projects using advanced statistical tools (DOE, MSA, hypothesis testing, ANOVA), mentor Green Belts, and drive organization-wide operational excellence programs.

How much does LSSBB certification cost?

The LSSBB exam fee through Mentor Tech is USD 295 (SAR 1,106 / AED 1,083 / EGP 14,455). This is the highest-priced GAQM certification, reflecting the depth and complexity of the Black Belt curriculum. Free LSSBB e-learning course materials are available at no cost through the Mentor Tech platform.

Do I need Green Belt before attempting LSSBB?

GAQM does not formally require LSSGB before LSSBB, but Mentor Tech strongly recommends it. Black Belt exam content assumes familiarity with DMAIC methodology, basic statistical concepts, and process improvement frameworks. Candidates without Green Belt experience have significantly lower first-attempt pass rates. Most candidates save time overall by completing LSSGB first.

How hard is the LSSBB exam?

The LSSBB exam is the most demanding in the LSS certification hierarchy — 150 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours), with a 70% passing score. The pass rate at Mentor Tech is approximately 65%. The hardest topics are Design of Experiments (DOE), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and advanced hypothesis testing — these typically receive disproportionate exam weight.

What is the salary of a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in GCC?

LSSBB-certified Black Belts earn USD 38,000–78,000/year in Saudi Arabia and USD 42,000–78,000/year in UAE in 2026. In global manufacturing and operations sectors, the average is USD 95,000/year. Master Black Belt (MBB) roles pay USD 120,000–180,000/year globally. Each Black Belt project typically delivers USD 100,000–1,000,000 in documented cost savings.

How does GAQM LSSBB compare to ASQ CSSBB?

Both are Black Belt credentials with comparable curriculum depth. The key differences: ASQ CSSBB requires 3 years of documented Black Belt experience as a prerequisite; GAQM LSSBB does not. ASQ CSSBB costs USD 438–538; GAQM LSSBB costs USD 295. ASQ CSSBB is stronger for North American manufacturing roles; GAQM LSSBB is widely recognized across GCC, MENA, and Southeast Asia.
