What is the passing score for the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt exam?

How does the LSSGB (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) compare to CSSGB?

The LSSGB (GAQM Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) and CSSGB (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt from ASQ) both validate the ability to lead DMAIC improvement projects using advanced statistical tools. The key difference is the issuing body: GAQM is globally recognised in 150+ countries with a strong presence in GCC and MENA, while ASQ is the primary US-based quality association. For professionals in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, and the wider region, the GAQM LSSGB offered by Mentor Tech is a cost-effective, fully online alternative that employers in the Middle East widely accept.

What is the cost of the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification?

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) certification through Mentor Tech is priced at $250 USD. This includes all course materials covering 25–30 hours of advanced DMAIC content, the GAQM online exam, and lifetime certification validity upon passing.

What is the difference between Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt?

Yellow Belt (LSSYB) provides foundational knowledge and positions you as a project team member who supports improvement initiatives. Green Belt (LSSGB) equips you to lead small-to-medium improvement projects independently, apply statistical analysis tools, and manage cross-functional teams. Green Belt typically requires 4–6 weeks more study and has more advanced exam content.

Should I get Yellow Belt or Green Belt first?

Start with Yellow Belt if you are new to Lean Six Sigma or if your organization wants broad team awareness. Jump directly to Green Belt if you have experience in operations, quality, or process roles and plan to lead projects. Many professionals in GCC skip Yellow Belt entirely and begin with Green Belt — LSSGB has no formal LSSYB prerequisite.

What is the salary gap between Yellow Belt and Green Belt certified professionals?

Green Belt certified professionals typically earn 15–30% more than Yellow Belt counterparts in equivalent roles. In GCC markets, the salary premium reflects the project-leadership capability gap — Green Belts can independently drive measurable cost savings, making them directly revenue-relevant. Average Green Belt salary in UAE is AED 12,000–22,000/month depending on sector.

What is the scope of projects a Green Belt leads vs. Yellow Belt?

Yellow Belt contributors participate in projects led by others, typically handling data collection, process mapping, and solution implementation tasks. Green Belts independently lead projects with defined scopes — reducing defect rates, cutting cycle times, or eliminating waste — and deliver quantifiable financial outcomes reported to management.

How long does it take to complete Green Belt vs. Yellow Belt certification?

Yellow Belt preparation typically takes 2–4 weeks of part-time study. Green Belt requires 6–10 weeks, covering advanced topics like hypothesis testing, regression analysis, control charts, and project chartering. Both programs through Mentor Tech are fully online, self-paced, and supported by GAQM-certified instructors.
